July 7, 2007, 150 musical acts carried out in a series of concerts around the world, called Live Earth to raise awareness for the climate crisis and to deliver a message-based solutions to a global audience. On 20 November, Warner Bros. Records will publish Live Earth – The Concerts for a climate in Crisis – a CD and a 2-DVD which brings together the most popular artists and better performance, truly global musical event submission-based messaging solutions package staged in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Hamburg, special broadcast of the Antarctic, Kyoto and Washington, DC events.
2/CD-DVD package includes performances by artists such as Linkin Park, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Eyed peas, Kelly Clarkson, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, Rihanna and many others. The first single from Live Earth – the concerts for a climate in crisis will be “Pick It Out,” done by Linkin Park to the mass of Maduhari the Japan. Digital bundle tracks will be available on iTunes, Zune and other digital retailers on November 6.
In addition to the live shows, DVD Live Earth will also include six short films from the Live Earth film series and a documentary on Live Earth taking shot by award-winning filmmakers Nick Wickham and Emer Patten. Short films, including some premiere at Tribeca Film Festival 2007, were commissioned by Earth Live using the power of film to educate a global audience through entertainment.
